Account Manager – Li-ion Battery Industry

Forge Battery is a wholly owned subsidiary of Forge Nano Inc. a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coatings across a wide range of markets and Li-Ion Batteries. Forge Battery is seeking an Account Manager reporting to the Director of Sales.

We are growing rapidly and are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team and drive strategic customer engagement within the Li-ion battery industry.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Account Manager with deep roots in the Li-ion battery industry to lead strategic customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and drive sales growth. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of account management experience, including 5+ years specifically focused on the Li-ion battery sector. A strong understanding of battery materials, manufacturing processes, and the global Li-ion supply chain is essential.

This role is customer-facing, results-driven, and requires frequent travel to engage with clients, attend industry events, and close deals. A technical background in materials science or a related field is highly preferred to enable effective communication with both customer technical teams and internal engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow key accounts within the Li-ion battery ecosystem including pack manufacturers, OEMs, integrators, and strategic partners.
  • Drive business development activities from lead generation through deal closure.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership success.
  • Collaborate closely with internal technical teams to align Forge Nano’s solutions with customer needs.
  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned with company sales targets and strategic goals.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to help shape product development and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in account management or business development roles.
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with or selling into the Li-ion battery industry.
  • Proven track record of sales success, closing high-value opportunities in Li-ion cell sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Li-ion battery technology, materials, and global supply chain.
  • Bachelor's degree required; technical degree in materials science, chemistry, or engineering strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a strong customer-first mindset.

Work Environment

Work will predominately occur in an office environment. When on the manufacturing floor, the employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. Travel

  • Attend and represent Forge Nano at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings globally (up to 50% travel).

Compensation/Benefits

  • $92K – 105K
